Y6’s Clarice Cliff art exhibition
On Wednesday 9th March the year sixes and their parents all took part in a Clarice Cliff inspired art exhibition.
All the parents enjoyed looking at their child’s artwork. There were many different activities: painting, drawing on a canvas and creating bookmarks.
The canvas was produced by parents and children and afterwards it was put on a display board outside the main hall. We coloured on it with sharpies (permanent markers) so making no mistakes was vital.
The year sixes were also auctioning off a canvas that their teachers Miss. Dodsworth and Mrs. Towriss had drawn but the children designed and coloured it in. Each year six had a go on the canvas from a blade of grass to a flower and from a sunshine to a silhouette.
We asked some children from year six some questions about what they thought of the day and what they thought of the artwork produced.
“The work produced was fabulous and the amounts of parents astounded me.”- Leah aged 11
“It was really good with the parents and that the artwork was extremely fun.”- Harley aged 10
We also asked some children to tell us what their parents said.
`The artwork was good and she really enjoyed it`
`She really enjoyed it and it was lots of fun`
Every single child and parent agreed that it was a tremendous afternoon and they all found it great!
All the Y6’s hope to have another opportunity to showcase their artwork in the future.
