Foundation Stage

Welcome to EYFS

The Foundation Stage teacher is Mrs. Williamson and the teaching assistants attached to the class are Mrs. Green, Mrs. Holbrook and Mrs. Hedge.

The aims of the Foundation Stage are to enrich the overall development of your child. This is achieved through a wide range of well-planned activities and experiences through which the child can develop all their skills and are provided under all the different areas of learning.

How you can help prepare your child for the Foundation Stage
  • Encourage your child to put on and take off their own coat and shoes

  • Encourage your child to go to the toilet by themselves. Remind them to flush the toilet then wash their hands.

  • Share books and encourage them to talk about their experiences both at school and at home.

  • Play games to encourage counting, letter recognition and taking turns.

All parents are encouraged to take part in our Class Dojo in the Foundation Unit. Remember to log in to see what your child has been up to in school! (Please note only parents of the children from our current foundation children have access to our page on Class Dojo.)
